Fair Trade Coffee (Yirgacheffe Light Roast)
Give this flavor a try!
As a rule I don't like light roast coffee but this is wonderful! This coffee has a yummy flavor--kind of fruity and nutty.
Plus it's just fun to say 'Yirgacheffe,' which is a town in southeastern Ethiopia. Repeat after me: Yur guh chef . The 'ch' sound is like the 'ch' in 'cheese.' (Sorry, I'm from Wisconsin, cheese is my only frame of reference.)

Fair Trade Dark Chocolate (Equal Exchange)
I love Equal Exchange! They are a worker-owned co-op based out of Massachusetts. Each of their nearly 100 worker-owners have an equal stake and an equal vote in the company. Likewise, they partner with co-ops and small scale farmers in the Dominican Republic, Panama, and Peru.

The sad truth of the matter is that if you are eat chocolate that is not fairly traded, ie, if you eat conventional candy bars, then you are eating chocolate from beans that were picked from West African child and slave labor. Click above to read about the co-ops that Equal Exchange partners with.
